NPP Activist KOKA Is Hospitalized After EOCO Arrest.

Kwaku Osei Korankyi Asiedu, commonly referred to as KOKA, was taken into custody on July 14, 2026, during a protest held at the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) headquarters in Accra, where he was advocating for the release of his fellow New Patriotic Party (NPP) member, Dennis Miracles Aboagye.

The arrest was made in connection with allegations of misappropriating a substantial amount of GH₵55 million. According to the authorities, KOKA’s arrest was justified due to his alleged threats against the leaders of the police and EOCO, as well as his involvement in disrupting the peace.

In a video that surfaced on social media late on Thursday, KOKA was seen at the Adabraka Polyclinic, apparently asleep while receiving medical attention, as captured by Dunkwa TV. As of early Friday, neither the EOCO, the Ghana Police, nor the NPP had issued an official statement or update regarding the situation, amidst a flurry of partisan reactions online.
