The Minister for Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has issued a severe and explicit warning to the contractor responsible for handling the Agenda 111 Hospital Project in the Bodi District of the Western North Region, instructing them to immediately return to the construction site or face the very real possibility of having their contract terminated due to non-compliance.
During the official launch of the government’s comprehensive Free Primary Healthcare Programme in the Bodi District, the Minister delivered this warning, emphasizing the government’s unwavering commitment to completing the Agenda 111 hospital project in order to significantly improve access to high-quality healthcare services for the residents of the district.
Mr. Akandoh clearly stated that the government remains fully dedicated to completing the Agenda 111 hospital, as it is a crucial component of their overall healthcare strategy, and any delays in the project are completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated. He explicitly directed the contractor to resume work on the project without any further delay, emphasizing the importance of meeting the project’s deadline.
The Minister also highlighted the fact that the successful completion of the hospital will serve as a vital complement to the Free Primary Healthcare Programme, as it will ensure that residents have access to modern and state-of-the-art healthcare services in close proximity to their communities, thereby greatly enhancing their overall quality of life.
Furthermore, the Minister provided assurances to the residents that the government will take all necessary steps to ensure the project is completed in a timely and efficient manner, which will ultimately lead to a significant enhancement in healthcare delivery in the district, and that they will closely monitor the project’s progress to prevent any further delays or setbacks.
