Nobody in New York City can escape the excitement of Knicks mania, and that’s true even for famous people like Rihanna and A$AP Rocky. Even though they didn’t go to Madison Square Garden for Game 4 of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs, where many other celebrities were spotted, including Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner wearing matching Chrome Hearts outfits, and Taylor Swift, Este Haim, and Alana Haim in funny slogan tees, they still showed their support for the Knicks in their own special way.
Neither Rihanna nor A$AP Rocky went for the full royal blue and tangerine look that fans usually wear.
Instead, they each picked one color and wore outfits that worked together to cheer on the team. Rihanna chose blue, wearing a Canadian tuxedo made by Gap x Victoria Beckham—this included an indigo denim jacket and capris. She finished the look with big sunglasses and her favorite lace-up Manolo Blahnik sandals. A$AP Rocky went with the orange color, wearing a silk satin Saint Laurent button-down shirt and a matching tie. For the bottom part of his outfit, he chose muted chartreuse satin trousers, which weren’t in the team colors but still looked great.
Even though Rihanna wore blue for Game 4, she had already shown her love for orange earlier in the week.
During the Tribeca Film Festival, where she was supporting A$AP Rocky, and just before Game 3, she wore a monochromatic look—everything was in the same shade of orange. She wore a velvet bodycon dress with an oversized leather jacket and strappy lace-up sandals in the same soft orange color.
