“He knows Absolutely Nothing About The Industry,” Shatta Wale Criticizing Okraku-Mantey.

Ghanaian dancehall artist Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., who goes by the stage name Shatta Wale, has once again expressed his strong opinions about former Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Mark Okraku-Mantey. During an interview that aired on The Bonah Show, parts of which have gone viral on TikTok, the outspoken musician took a direct approach in questioning Mark Okraku-Mantey’s grasp of Ghana’s entertainment industry and criticized his actions during his time in government.

Shatta Wale, known for his bold and honest style, pointed out that despite Mark Okraku-Mantey’s extensive background in the entertainment field, he did not perform well in his role as a government official. According to the artist, the former deputy minister failed to make any meaningful contributions to the creative arts sector, which he was expected to support.

Shatta Wale remarked, “Mark Okraku-Mantey is senseless. Can you see that he didn’t do anything while in office? He didn’t even benefit from his own position,” highlighting his frustration with the former minister‘s lack of impact. The artist further claimed that despite Okraku-Mantey’s longstanding experience as a music executive and a wellknown entertainment commentator, he has not demonstrated a clear understanding of the real challenges faced by people in the creative arts sector.

He added, “As far as the industry is concerned, he is the only person who is not intelligent,” which shows how strongly he feels about the former minister‘s capabilities.

These comments have generated a lot of discussion on social media, with many fans and people within the entertainment industry weighing in on whether Shatta Wale’s criticism was fair or if it was too harsh. Mark Okraku-Mantey, who was previously a respected entertainment journalist and a music executive, held the position of Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts during the previous administration. He was often seen as a key figure who could act as a link between the government and the creative community.
