Renowned Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, affectionately known as Ogogo, has passed away. His daughter, Kira Taiwo, shared the heartbreaking news during a live session on her Instagram page on Sunday evening.
This tragic announcement follows Kira’s earlier revelation that her father was courageously fighting stage four cancer.
Taiwo Hassan was a distinguished figure in the Nigerian film industry, particularly celebrated for his performances in Yoruba-language films and his significant contributions to the evolution of Nollywood.
In the days leading up to his passing, reports indicated that attempts were being made to secure medical treatment for the actor. Among those who reportedly extended financial support was Adeola Olamilekan, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Ogun State, widely known as Yayi.
