The Bank of Ghana (Swamp) has coordinated Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II, the Kwahu Hene and Board Chairperson of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), to quickly leave.
This order comes after claims of ill-advised direct including a GHS 2 million transaction.
As indicated by a secret letter dated 10 October 2024, addressed to the ADB Board Director, the Swamp referred to a request submitted to the Presidency by Mr. Collins Darkwah Aboagye.
The appeal affirms unfortunate behavior with respect to Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II in his ability as Board Chair of the ADB, and the charges consequently got wide media consideration.
The BoG, in its letter endorsed by Osei Gyasi, Top of the Banking Supervision Department, stressed that the proceeded with stay of Daasebre Agyapong in office has become unsound because of the harm caused to the bank’s standing.
