Minister for Food and Agriculture, Bryan Acheampong, has solidly dismissed claims that the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) comes up short on assets to buy cocoa beans from framers.
In front of the 2024/2025 cocoa season, COCOBOD declared plans to utilize a mix of self-supporting and partnered credits to finance cocoa buys.
Notwithstanding, Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam uncovered that the partnered credit will get under $600 million, missing the mark regarding the underlying $1.5 billion objective.
