Former Black Stars midfielder, Derek Boateng has communicated disappointment over Ghana’s continuous Stadium crisis.
Following a boycott by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on the Baba Yara Stadium, the Black Stars are left without a venue for their home matches.
The boycott came directly following Ghana’s loss to Angola, with the stadium facing cruel analysis for its unfortunate playing conditions.
Talking on the circumstance, Boateng shared his failure over the nation’s absence of legitimate foundation, underlining that a football stalwart like Ghana ought not be confronting such issues.
“It’s miserable to the point that we are in that sort of circumstance at this moment,” Boateng said as detailed by 3Sports.
“We don’t need to be there. Ghana currently needs to track down a field to play a home game, gracious come on. We are a lot for that so for my purposes, it’s truly miserable to hear something to that effect,” added.
With the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers drawing nearer, the locations for Ghana’s Matchday 3 game against Sudan stays questionable.
Notwithstanding, a few reports propose the match might be moved to Côte d’Ivoire.
