A’ja Wilson broke the WNBA single season scoring record not long before the main portion of the Las Vegas Aces’ down against the Indiana Fever on Wednesday night.
Wilson hit a jumper from the free toss line with 26.4 seconds passed on in the second quarter to outperform the past sign of 939 focuses set by Jewell Loyd in 2023. The Aces’ double cross association MVP came into the game averaging 27.3 focuses and 11.9 bounce back.
She completed the game with 27 places and 12 bounce back as Las Vegas won 86-75. Wilson credited her colleagues for aiding her break the record.
“I would rather not sound banality when I say this however, I don’t get any of that without each and every partner en route. I’m so appreciative to have the option to play with benevolent ladies,” she said. “My partners are the heartbeat. They push me along. I get no focuses without them passing me the ball.
