2025 AFCONQ: Otto Addo raises worry about Baba Yara Stadium in front of Angola match
Black Stars Head coach, Otto Addo has communicated worries about the state of the Baba Yara Stadium pitch in front of the forthcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Countries (AFCON) qualifiers in September.
Ghana, going for the gold mainland title, is set to confront Angola in the initial match of the passing series on Thursday, September 5.
The arena’s pitch has been the subject of various protests, with CAF authorities mentioning upgrades as of late.
Addressing the press during the declaration of his crew, Addo featured the significance of a decent playing surface.
“It’s disturbing in light of the fact that the manner in which we need to play we really want a decent pitch,” expressed Addo during the presser to report his crew for the game.
“Right now, there are a ton of conversations about how we can improve so there will be no conversations about the pitch.
“We maintain that our players should be glad to do anything conceivable to do everything they can on the pitch. Subsequently, we need to improve to make the pitch as best as could really be expected,’ he added.
After the match against Angola, Ghana will take on Niger in Morocco on September 10.
